It all started when our fearless Co-Founder and now CEO, Lauren Burke, realized that taking notes should be effortless and fun (not tedious and time-consuming).

An award-winning and dedicated social entrepreneur, immigration attorney, executive director, adjunct professor, and anti-racist educator, Lauren had a LOT of vital intel to keep track of. Yet every digital meeting note taker out there was confusing or expensive—usually both.

In between dashing to meetings, leading non-profit projects, counseling college students, and donning her superhero cape, Lauren sat down with a napkin and a cup of coffee to sketch out a blueprint for intuitive note taking software that anyone on the planet could use. She called up her tech-buddy Jourdan who developed the initial platform and hooray! Notehouse was born!
